1. Service

Rowan is an AI scheduling assistant provided by Applied Humanity Inc. ("we", "us"). By connecting your calendar or using Rowan to schedule meetings, you agree to these terms.

2. What Rowan does

Rowan reads your calendar availability, proposes meeting times, creates calendar events, and sends scheduling emails on your behalf.

Rowan also acts on its own in a few narrow ways you can turn off: sending you reminders before meetings, a weekly briefing, a nudge when a thread has gone quiet, and a note when your travel or your calendar suggests something needs your attention. These go to you. Rowan does not email the people you are scheduling with unless you or they have started a conversation it is part of.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining access to the calendar accounts you connect. You can disconnect your calendar at any time, which revokes Rowan's access.

4. Plans and billing

Rowan has a free plan and paid plans. Your booking link is unlimited on every plan, including free — sharing it with as many people as you like never counts towards any allowance.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your settings; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-months. If a payment fails, the account returns to the free plan rather than being closed.

The free plan is supported by a credit shown on your booking pages and in emails Rowan sends on your behalf. That credit names Rowan and one sponsor, and links to them. It stays visible on the free plan: you can change the colours, fonts and layout of your booking page, and the credit adapts to remain readable against whatever you choose. We may change which sponsor appears. Paid plans remove the credit entirely.

Plan allowances are counted in meetings that Rowan schedules for you over email, reset at the start of each calendar month in your own timezone, and do not carry over. When you reach the allowance, Rowan stops negotiating over email until the reset and sends anyone asking for time your booking link instead.

Rowan is in beta. Prices and allowances may change, and we will tell you before a change affects what you are paying.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. By starting a paid plan you ask us to make it available to you immediately and accept that once we have, that 14-day right no longer applies. If you would rather keep it, do not start the paid features until the 14 days have passed, or email us.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Rowan to send spam, harass others, or for any purpose other than legitimate scheduling.

6. Data and privacy

Your use of Rowan is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We access only calendar data necessary to perform scheduling. We do not sell your data.

7. Availability

Rowan is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for missed meetings, scheduling errors, or calendar conflicts.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applied Humanity Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Rowan.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of that state. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Rowan after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
